  • Question about mediation

Hey folks I have a quick question, I'm currently going through the county court process involving Lowell. My question is if I accept to the mediation and came to an agreement I was happy with would this still result in a CCJ? I'm assuming it doesn't as it would have been dealt with out of court but I honestly have no idea.

If agreement is reached then it will not go forward to court, and no CCJ

Hi ostell thanks for answering. Another question is there any chance in mediation where Lowell could offer a reduced amount to pay instead of the total? I ask because I had debt years ago I think I roughly owed around £1100 but I was offered to pay £234 and have the rest scrapped. So is this a possibility in mediation?

So how old is this debt, more than 6 years (5 in Scotland)? Could it be statute barred?

The whole point of mediation is that you make an offer (low), they make an offer (high) and keep going till you are in agreement, or otherwise.
