  • Require Help to Draft My Witness Statement in Response to Claim

    Hi,

Im a defendent in a civil proceedings issued by Halifax mortgages, as they seek to take possession of a property which I rented out to my sister in law, due to falling behind with the mortgage payments. I have no objection to the mortgage company seeking possession of the property. The issue I have is my sister in law has been joined to the proceedings as a 2nd defendant, and is making a claim against me. I am in desperate need of help in responding to her claim as I have no experience or knowledge in drafting and preparing such documents. I cant afford for legal representation due to loss of income, and nor am i eligible for legal aid assistance. Please let me know if you can help. Regards

I suggest you read ‘Pleadings Without Tears’ by William Rose. You will get a recent edition on EBay for less than £10 and you’ll find everything in there
