As a claimant I lost in a recent court case. I received a judgement order to pay the defendants solicitors £800. I have stressed throughout I am not in a position to do this. I made an application for help with fees which has been accepted. If I pay in instalments will I still have a ccj against me?

If the CCJ gets paid within 30 days, it won't be registered on your credit file. Since your paying in instalments, its likely that the CCJ will be on your file. The best thing to do is to set up a direct debit or a standing order to get it paid as soon as you can.

Acknowledge Claim - within 14 days from Service
Defend Claim - within 28 days from Service (IF you acknowledged in time)
If you fail to Acknowledge the claim you may have a default judgment awarded against you, likewise, if you fail to enter your defence within 28 days from Service.
