  • CCJ if living in China

    Hello,

I took out an Amigo loan two years ago. I complained to the FOS won the case and there is about 2500 left to pay. I have moved to China and have given them my address in China. I am not able to pay the amount they are asking for yet and they have said they will. apply for a CCJ can they do this? I have no UK address. They have my parents address but I have said I don't live there so surely knowing that and posting to that address would breach GDP?

    Thanks,
    Gareth

How much have you offered to the debt? As you have won an affordability complaint, if you have made them a sensible offer backed up with an income & expenditure form, they should accept it. It not a case of them saying you have to pay £x...

But I think you had a lot of other debts as well, didn't you? Are you going to be out of the country for a long while? Have you considered bankruptcy?
