  • Unfair warrant issued

My partner is disabled an in July this year recieved 170 for failing to declare sorn and not being insured upon receiving notification he arranged with the court to pay the fine with deduction from his benefits and thought it was resolved.yesterday a baliff from marstons arrived at his door demanding 400 pounds with a court warrant. The baliff threatened him with 56 days in jail sat in hi car for half an hour and returned to say the police were coming to arrest him. This has caused untold distress. He managed to get it together to phone the court who said their dwp request failed. They have a record of his conversation. They just blckballed him and said they had sent letters. A complete lie. The supervisor treated him like a criminal. We have no money and no option but to take the court to the small claims court. Any advice please we are desperate

Did he attend Court? Did he submit a means test? Have you received a Further Steps Notice?
