I have been taken to County Court by my Landlord. I won't go into the details but my problem is I have lost the defense papers. I know I have a limited time to respond. What should I do ?

You can download the acknowledgement of service form here:
    https://assets.publishing.service.go...717/n9-eng.pdf

That gives you a bit longer to get your defence together. Unfortunately, the AOS form requires the claim number. Do you have any papers showing that and which court issued the claim?

Hi, thanks for responding. Yes I have the claim number and the court is Norwich County Court.

        All is not lost then.

I'd ring the court in the morning or go round, and maybe they'll reissue the papers your dog ate (or whatever!). But send the AOS in as soon as possible, anyway.

Hi, Yes I have already filled the form in and will post it tomorrow. I will also ring the court to see if they will send another one. Many thanks for your help.
