OK. Final question - pardon me for being an idiot:

Do I have the option of taking Booking.com to Court in the UK if I name the right Defendant this time, or is it better to take their Dutch head office on?

Use the European Small Claims Procedure.
              It will be much easier!!!!!!!!!!!

So long story short, I started a claim against them and they are now saying I took the wrong named company to Court and should have taken the right named company on, in Holland.

If I withdraw the claim am I allowed to bring the claim again against the right entity in the correct country now? It is much cheaper to do that then change name AND country,

Up to and including the day of the hearing, according to the Court staff I just spoke to.

You know it is the wrong entity so discontinue early rather than late to avoid any problems regarding costs
