  • County court business centre

hi I知 new to legal beagles finding it very interesting so far. I have a county court business centre letter against a debt with benefit. I went to court and was found guilty in 2011. I was sentenced to 9 months inprisonment. I have been able to pay back quite a bit over the years but over last year it so I have struggled with housing benefit one. They have now sent a letter for county court business centre. I知 not sure if the same would apply for this against for example a credit card debt. For instance the 6 year period.
    Thank you in advance

    Hi Natalie

Are you saying you have received a claim form for money outstanding from a fraudulent benefit claim you made some years ago? I don;t mean to offend you calling it fraudulent - it just seemed the most apt word

What type of benefit was it?

If I am understanding you, you have been paying this back until about a month ago

Were you ordered by the court to repay the debt? I have to admit I am not sure how it works with benefits overpayments.

It might clear things up if you type out the particulars of claim ( do not include names or reference numbers so you are not identifiable)
