  • bw legal - VCS - Liverpool Airport

    Hi all,

I've received a letter from BW Legal asking me for £160, having been instructed by Vehicle Control Services for an unpaid PCN, which was originally for £100.

I was picked up late at night from Liverpool JLA, my wife was unaware that she couldn't stop and a photo was taken by the camera-van which sits there all the time. I ignored the initial PCN, but I'm confused as to whether I have to pay this £160 to BW Legal or not. There seem to be a lot of conflicting message on this site and various others.

    Any advice gratefully accepted.

    Cheers

Edit the post so that the driver cannot be identified.

Look around this forum and the pepipoo forums for JLA, liverpool threads for a suitable response.

Basically the land is subject to byelaws and is therefore not relevant land for the purpose of POFA and the keeper cannot be held liable, only the driver. Alternatively the road is subject to RTA and again not relevant land.

Since you did not respond previously they are looking to take this to court to get a judgement by default.
