    Received a civil recovery claim letter from dwf on behalf of Sainsburys, do I need to pay this?

      Ignore it. Read the many posts about DWF and similar companies like RLP on the Civil Loss Recovery forum on here. I note that Sainsbury's value of goods lost was zero.

      They are trying to make you contribute to Sainsbury's administrative costs of dealing with the incident but they aren't entitled to recover that from you.

          I only know what is posted on the threads on here and no-one has ever come back and reported that DWF (or any other "civil recovery company") has actually started legal court action. Lots of threats to take action then it goes quiet.
