I apologise for the many questions I've been through a lot and have anxiety very bad. Should I return to the store to apologise?

UPDATE I returned to the shop. The manager was super nice, which I don't deserve, I handed goods back, not all as I've thrown magazines away, but I handed back and he said no one ever hands stuff back. I said I'm very sorry explained I've been going through stuff and I apologised. He said its fine (?!?!) I have people taking full boxes of chocolates and swiping shelves off. I said wow still doesn't make it right and I want to make it right so I sincerely apologise and I will never do it again. I shook his hand. I asked if I was banned he said oh god no (?!?!) I asked if police would be involved, he said its not worth it for that it's too much hassle, and I asked if I was going to be on caught in cctv he said no no no. I said I'm sorry am I now banned? He said no I'm not banned (?!?!) I imagine I'll be watched like a hawk if I ever go back but I never intend to go back. But least I know if I'm out and about I don't have to worry I feel relieved. Still feel bad and remorseful but taken steps to make it right. Now I need to move on and make sure I do good from now on and work on myself and self esteem.
Thank-you for all your responses. It helps me work things out in my crazy head.
one last time, will this mean the end and no police involvement

Well, you've got that from the 'horses mouth', so not likely to happen. Well done on doing that, facing the store head on.

You are 'lucky' that the manager was 'understanding', if you had faced an unsympathetic one, the matter could of escalated. Part of the store managers responsibility is 'stock', they have to account for shrinkage and keep it below a percentage. Their bonus and other stuff depend on things like that.

Absolutely I will not be doing such a thing again. Lesson learned.
