Gathering evidence maybe an issue in so far as you didn't purchase all the items from one retailer / their are 'multiple' couriers involved etc.
No easy task even with technology.

Everything has to be 'cast iron', even if you went into a police station and said 'I did this', without evidence it's going nowhere.
