We don't know is the answer. The Small Claims Court has an upper limit of £10,000, so it wouldn't be in the Small Claims Court.Originally posted by Keipa View PostIt’s been a few weeks now and heard nothing from the police… Is there a possibility they simply don’t investigate due to lack of resources? Also can the companies take this to a small claims court whilst the police still are “investigating”?
Gathering evidence maybe an issue in so far as you didn't purchase all the items from one retailer / their are 'multiple' couriers involved etc.
No easy task even with technology.

Yes, but they would still need statements.Originally posted by Keipa View PostAgreed but I believe the companies are in contact with eachother. Also there’s a clear pattern of ordering and receiving refunds on bank statements
Everything has to be 'cast iron', even if you went into a police station and said 'I did this', without evidence it's going nowhere.
