Shoplifting from tesco

Im ashamed to admit i have just been caught shoplifting in tesco i dont know why idid it i had the money to pay for the items

They stopped me as one of the items had a security tag so set alarm off. They spoke to me at the front of the store didnt take my name or address i paid for the items £22 by card they said i was banned for 12 months and would need to reapply to shop there again then said i could go

Is this likely to go any further

It doesn't sound like it, if you paid for the item and didn't give them your details ( as they didn't ask ) I don't see how it could go further.

I guess they might have your details from clubcard or something but it is unlikely, certainly not police wise, outside possibility you could get a letter sometime in the future from a civil recovery firm like RLP or DWF but seems they just took it as a mistake and let you pay for it.

I agree with Amethyst ... they're unlikely to take it further (especially as they allowed you to pay for the goods) xx
