  • help!

Hello all - are there any techie type people here?
I have recently bought a new stereo ( seperates) and having set it all up ( which took me ages) i have found a problem. When i play a CD or just have the radio on the sound keeps cutting out ( especially when i turn the amp up) and the amplifier gets quite hot. I have rechecked the wiring on the speakers and they seem ok. What could the problem be?
Please bear in mind that i am useless at this type of thing lol.
    Hope someone can help me.
    Cheers Sandbag.

      Re: help!

Tech stuff is not my thing sorry sand, but I'd have thought the shop you bought it from may have a customer support line, if not the shop, then the manufacturer should also offer tech support.
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

          Re: help!

Hi all - thanks for moving my thread to a more appropriate forum.
          Thanks for all your replys.
No the amp is not more powerful than the speakers. I have contacted the company where i bought it and they say its a fault with the amp and are replacing it.
So hopefully the new one will work.
          Regards to everyone.
          Cheers Sandbag.
