    Re: Magnet worktops

I take on board what you are saying Amethyst and thanks for the help but surely Magnet supplied faulty goods/substandard workmanship and under the sale of goods act I was entitled to have them renewed-not repaired. I had asked them to replace the tops but they refused. Struggling to upload the pics-something to do with file type so hopefully get my daughter to do it tomorrow for me-Mc

When was the Worktop originally fitted?

When did you make the formal complaint?

          Re: Magnet worktops

I will send the pics later this evening. The worktops were fitted in May last year and we complained straight away. Magnet send an inspector out from Sheridans -who supplied the worktops- within a few days and he totally slagged the job-for want of better words also saying a repair would still be a repair. When Sheridans were asked to put it in writing it was toned down saying the tops could be repaired to 'showroom standard'. A slice would have had to be routed out and a piece put in giving two joints where there should only have been one. The mess would have been unbelieveable! Mc
