Hi all.
Back last year myself and partner were preparing to move into our first home together.
We purchased 2 sofas from Homebase around end of March 2011 for a delayed delivery for 7th June 2011.
It was a hectic month of deliverys for us as we both needed a lot of new items for our home and combined with working was a difficult move.
Past weekend gone i noticed that there was a tear on the seam of one of the sofas on the rear, and this is behind the back cushions i knew it was not from us catching anything and was exposing the foam.
I dug out my paper work to see what the situation would be with warrenty.
To my shock i have discovered the sofas we had delivered were both actually smaller than the ones we had bought! The width should have been 195W Cm but ours are just over 170CM!
Fortunately with all internet orders i take a screen grad at time of order and a print out of full item details and both clearly state 195CM width.
I have contacted Homebase and await there response.
Can anyone please advise on the legal position. I'm not happy that we have been sent smaller sofas than we paid for. Obviously time has past but you should not be expected to have to measure new furniture and only really came to my attention because of this tear to the material.
Thanks
