    look at s9 Consumer Rights Act 2015. Pretty similar, but it is the current and most recent legislation.

      anyman - As I explained in posts #26 - #29, it's s9(3)(b) of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (legislation.gov.uk) that you should be concentrating on and not "the goods of sale act" - which you obviously don't understand.

        For a £50 item purchased 18 months ago, my advice is forget about the possibilities of a court claim.
        IMO the effort and cost is not worth it.

        Much better trying a letter of complaint to "customer Services" or the CEO and hoping

          Just to clarify - I am not belittling the OP's use of English as I suspect English is not their first language - which is fair enough. But I'm frustrated that they don't seem to take on board what they're being told...

                      OK so how about something like this for my letter


                      Dears Sirs

                      On such and such a date I purchased a Makita Angle grinder (please see a copy of the recite)
                      However as of late it has sudenly stopped working!

                      I have not owned this for long and I consider it to be unsatisfactory

                      You may like to know that the "Consumer Rights Act 2015, section 9: Goods to be of satisfactory quality

                      States the following

                      (3)The quality of goods includes their state and condition; and the following aspects (among others) are in appropriate cases aspects of the quality of goods—

                      (e)durability.

                      I dont belive that the time period I have owned this item for that the durability is long enough; considering that Makita offer 3 years warrenty on most of there items

                      Please can you let me know if you are able to fix this for me?
