  • Taking Nationwide Building Society to Court - very odd service address/name

    Hi all.

    I am taking on the Nationwide in Civil claim. When looking on Companies House website I could not find them via a search, ANYWHERE.

    On the Financial Conduct Authorities website - here

    https://register.fca.org.uk/ShPo_Fir...000000MfFYOAA3

    - I searched for them and got this hit back, which states

    "Companies House Number This is a unique number given to a UK company or limited liability partnership

    355B"

    And it is odd because that companies number brings back this Companies House entry - any advice? Does this look right?

    No, that's a company called 355B not the companies house number 355B - that 355B refers to https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/o...Y/appointments
    and https://mutuals.fsa.gov.uk/SocietyDe...r=355&Suffix=B

    You want;

    Nationwide Building Society, Head Office, Nationwide House, Pipers Way, Swindon SN38 1NW.

    ( https://www.nationwide.co.uk/about/m...al-information )

    Have you been through the complaints process, FOS and issued a letter of claim ?

      Yes, done it all.

      Why can't I find them on Companies House?

        Because Companies House deals with deals with limited companies, or variations of it. Nationwide is a building society (clue is in their name) which have no shareholders but members.

        Your claim need only be sent to their principle place of business which is set out on the FCA register.
