    Re: Tax credits help

I think the only thing you can do is not claim tax credits or get it in writing from the Tax Credit office that you are eligible before you have a nervous breakdown.

      So you have a 'working cycle' of 4 weeks (23 23 23 27) -

Some people work different hours each week. If there is a pattern to the work, for example a person works 14 hours one week and 18 the next, there is a two week cycle and the person can look at their average across that cycle. In this example the normal working hours would be 16.
I'd still say you are OK averaging out your hours
your average over the 4wk cycle is 24hrs (which you are contracted for and paid for anyway)

I have rang them twice an they have said it's fine to average over the 4 weeks as their system doesn't allow changes for one week so they would average it over the four I was fine with this then I happened to log into another forum where I had posted my query n was told that it's wrong n the advisor has gave me wrong information

I agree with Amethyst here ... judgemental people are better of being taken with a pinch of salt (if you see what I mean)
You have been told by 2 different advisors and have looked at the link I provided, all 3 of them say you can average out your hours.

You are doing 1 hour of what you call overtime every week.... HMRC call it working hours - your contract is for 24 hours, you are paid for 24 hours and you work 24 hours, there is seriously no problem.
