I heard something briefly on BBC News Channel about their staff getting death threats. However, as to the veracity of this statement, I reserve my view. However, please do enlighten me, Wales.

I have just read what you mention, Wales. Thank you for highlighting it. It is on the BBC Six O'Clock News at the moment.

A lot of what ATOS are claiming is, I suspect, a false flag. My gut-feeling is that someone or some action group has threatened ATOS with legal action under the Human Rights Act 1998. Given their behaviour and the disclosure by Dr Greg Woods last year - that guy deserves a knighthood for sticking up for humanity, compassion and everything that is right - they wouldn't stand an earthly. The High Court would crucify them and IDS's "Diss the Disabled" mantra would be shown up for what it is - bullying, cheating and treating those least able to defend themselves as something IDS had trodden in.

Anyone think it will make any difference with present government?

            Re: ATOS Assessment

This is what says an awful lot about the present government and their desperation to bully people into submission as well as try and prop up their discredited and corrupt policy -

The government don't want the tests themselves - described by opponents as harsh and unfair - questioned. The tests have been and will continue to be reviewed.
Politically ministers want the focus to remain on the private company's performance - and not on their policy.

So is Crapita. The politicians must be seriously bonkers if they think the public will tolerate having G4S or Serco handling their affairs after what they did. I would not be surprised that we are witnessing a government and political system that is broken and disintegrating before our eyes.

My opinion is that their tales of "death threats" are just as accurate as any other ATOS assessment - wildly different from the actual truth and intended to validate wrong decision-making.

To call ATOS "murdering scum-bags" is just common abuse, whilst suggestions that they might be lynched by an angry mob is mere rhetoric - and nobody other than a craven, cowering idiot would suggest otherwise and expect to be taken seriously. One might as well tell them that the bogey-man will get them if they ever walk on the cracks in the pavement - would they then demand that every city is repaved in tarmac for their safety?

You may be aware of Care.Data. Apparently, in the past few days, 130,000 people opted-out en masse. NHS England shat themselves. If you are a 38 degrees member, you will already know about this. I have a copy of the email if anyone want to view it.

ATOS simply tell DWP what they want to hear, not what they need to hear. Decision-making is down to the DWP, carried out by poorly-educated people who are not familiar with some very complex regulations. What is laughable, were it not so serious, is that DWP Decision Makers place more weight on a doctored report by a nurse than a report submitted by the claimant's doctor or hospital consultant. That is an Error in Law per se. What has happened and, I have no doubt, still happens, is that DWP claim there is no error in law. Misleading or Attempting to Mislead a Statutory Tribunal is an indictable offence. Notwithstanding, it also violates a claimant's right to a fair hearing, meaning that the DWP and ATOS are acting unlawfully.

To call ATOS "murdering scum-bags" is just common abuse, To be accurate, they're lying scumbags.

No. But then I feel a lot of claimants would want to bury the buggers under the tarmac.

Insist on an audio recording being made of the "assessment". ATOS will try their utmost to deter you from this, but you must insist otherwise your feelings of panic at going out will, miraculously, be transformed into a statement that you enjoy taking your dog on long country walks. With an audio recording of the "assessment", such miracles would be difficult to disprove; without a recording, it's your word against that of the "healthcare professional" who, of course, won't be able to remember anything about it.

I can see ATOS having a lot, if not, all of their so-called assessments reviewed. Neither would I be surprised to see them forced to repay their "blood money" of £750 per assessment for each report that is wrong, altered or a complete and total fabrication. Not penalising ATOS has been a major bone of contention. No way must they be allowed to escape scot-free.
