general advice about benefits

My niece is on maternity leave at the moment with her 6 month old son. She has a partner and has just moved into a new flat. She has two problems - one she does not know what entitlements she could be getting to help with any bills now. They are on low income. And also she has heard that her job may be in jeopardy when she returns. Where would be the best place for her to find help about making sure she is getting all the help she is entitled to? Normally I would recommend CAB but when she tried them before in her area they did not seem that good. She is internet savvy so is there a site that could help her or just the government one as a guide?

Was just gonna say that Wales ..The benefit assessor on direct.gov (think it's still called that) does the calculations for her.

just found "entitled to" website as well -so hopefully that should keep her going for a while.
