hi i know that a new benefit will replace DLA soon i will be pension age next march i will be 61 and 6 months due to being born in 1951 the new benefit says people of working age 16 to 65 will change to pip however i wont be of working age as i will have retired will i have to change to pip or will i stay on DLA.

Pass on that one. It depends on whether Cameron & Co stay in office long enough to see it implemented. The way things are going at the moment, I can see Parliament being dissolved sometime in October and a General Election sometime in November of this year. Something is going to happen between now and October that will mean the Con-Dem Coalition Government's position will become untenable.

I do hope so BB my younger brother had to retire due to multiple problems and is currently awaiting heart surgery. Before this some underling was deciding if he was fit to work!

Been there, done it, got the t-shirt. I had to give up work last November due to Fibromyalgia. It's a debilitating condition and ATOS don't exactly help. The whole premise the Con-Dem Coalition government have based ESA and PIP on is seriously flawed. Using a piece of controversial software to make decisions is not the way to go about it. ATOS have been banned from providing services in the USA. If the US government has taken that step, it must be serious and the Con-Dem Coalition government need to take it seriously, too.

hi thanks for the posts but still cant get answer to my question i wont be working age when i retire next march,as i will be 61 and 6 months,i wish this goverment would make things clearer.
