HI , i have applied for Mortgage Interest benefit and have now been sent a form to complete by Jobcentre Plus.
It says it is to establish how much mortgage interest we are entitled too.
The problem is i cannot remember how much we have spent on improvements to our property since we bought it and what fees etc we paid out of the remortgages i have had since.
The property was bought from the council 10 years ago , we have done lots of improvements in the house and also used some of the cash to consolidate debts and paid early repayment fees also.
THer is a sepertate form asking for specific ammounts for the Bathroom , Kitchen , Heating , Windows , Security and then a section for other items(improvements & repairs)
I can guess these amounts but i am unsure what fees , debts etc we have paid.
Will they reduce the ammount i am entitled too if i guess figures for Debt repayment & fees or is this acceptable.
