We got an DWP letter this morning see pics. Hi Feb 2023 my wife (77) suffered a major brain bleed and was hospitalised for 4 months. She came home in June 2023, nothing working on her right side.
She has high tone spasticity in her right arm and leg, she cannot walk in the street, she can in the home but only as far as the toilet. She also suffers from extremely high anxiety for which she is under the Neurological Team at the University Hospital. She is on about 10 different meds for different things.
I had to give up my full time job of 10 years to look after her 24/7 as she cannot look after herself or be left alone, so I am with her 24 hours each day.
I have to do everything for her including cut her food up, wash and shower her and it's wheelchair everywhere for her.
I have to do everything around the house, you name it I do it, apart from wipe her backside. This payment over the last year was such a life saver for us as I had to quit my job to look after her and now they say we don't qualify??
Please help me address this for when I get back to them with anything you can think of to help our case based on what you've read. Doctors letter maybe or something like that? Desperate. Thankyou
