    Benefits affected by Lodging?

    My friend from Spain is studying here in the UK. I live in a council house & am on benefits, that I won't disclose. I understand I have to declare him as a lodger if he stays, and he'll be paying me rent. I was wondering if any personal benefits would be affected by his status as a lodger in my council house. Thanks!
