Want to claim PPI but I have no account numbers or statements for old CC & Loans??

Hi everyone,

I thought with all the PPI success stories and the aim to get debt free I should try the PPI route, the problem is that I moved last year and dont have any of my old credit card or loan papers.

I know I had a:
Capital One card 2006/7
Barclaycard Visa 200/2003
Unsecured Loan 2006/7

Can I source the information from these companies to apply for PPIs? or what is the procedure for people like me to start a claim with no info, do I use a PPI claims company?

I dont know if current accounts charged PPI, i have a closed Barclays & Nawest account(with overdraft debt with DCA) or is that a transactional bank reclaim? A completely different topic altogether.

You could send a Subject Access Request under the Data Protection Act 1998 which would cost you £10 asking for all data on you or you could send a speculative claim to each lender which the addresses that you lived at, at the time of taking out the PPI.

Most main banks have info and phone numbers on their websites if your unsure as to what accounts you had that may have had PPI.
