PPI claim HFC

I have submitted a complaint via the ombudsman for a loan I took out with HFC in 2003.
It has now been just under 8 weeks and I have had a reply stating they can't find my account. I have sent them the original agreement with numbers etc.

They have asked for my full name and address confirming and a signed copy of my complaint.

Seems weird to me I have gone through the ombudsman and yet they are asking me to write to them. Are they just messing me about wasting time?

Any advice on what I should do?


Total PPI paid was around 3.5k for a loan I only took 4.5k!

I suggest you reply with the information that they have asked for. Honestly this will be the quickest way to proceed.

Thank you, I will do. I'm just thinking it's strange they took 7 weeks to tell me they can't find my account :s

If they still can't find it can this stop my claim?
