Hi, I had a Personal Loan with the Halifax in 1998 and can clearly remember the young lady telling me I had to take PPI or the loan wouldn`t go through the computer system without it...this sticks in my mind as I receive a Dependants Pension from my late partner and have done so since 1993 and of course that pays me every month whether I am sick, injured or whatever, so I specifically told the young lady I didn`t need PPI as my income was covered.
I have made a claim against this loans PPI and the Halifax have come back and told me that although they don`t have the Loan Agreement, (nor do I sadly), they believe I didn`t have PPI on the Loan.
I have now managed to find my bank statements from that time and can see that for the £10000 loan, I paid £246.49 per month for the term of the loan which was 60 months, I am unsure as to whether or not that would include a PPI payment as I don`t know what the interest rate was? Can anyone please advise me?
Many thanks xx
