  • PPI - Santander

    Hi,

I'm new to this forum and have some questions regarding PPI. I've had a look at previous threads but cannot see any definitive answers to the questions I'm looking for.

I recently complained to Santander regarding PPI that was on a Laura Ashley store card taken out in 1997. In response I received a letter stating that the claim had been rejected and PPI was not mis-sold. This seems to be the standard response from Santander that many others have received, and as it was pre regulation in 2005 the only apparent right to redress is the pointless Finance & Leasing Association.

I know that some have pursued this further, but it is not clear what more can be done. Has anyone been successful in pursuing this matter? If so, what course of action did you take? I know some people have made SRA requests but, ultimately, what will this achieve in the long run if Santander can wash their hands of the matter as they were not regulated by the FSA?

Any thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi there

As you are aware Santander are a nightmare and seem to reject and reject, but it's the fact here on keeping at them by writing back, tell them you do not agree and give your reasons, did you come across the Santander thread posted by Victoria? If you're unable to find it , let me know, as her thread have helped many in the same situation.
Otherwise contact Santander and request for the details of the Underwriter/Insurer, they must give you these on request, once you have these, message me, then I can dig out the template letter that may be of some help for you x
