Barclaycard PPI 1994 - 2007

Hi,

Has anyone successfully claimed back PPI from Barclaycard from 1994.

Advice would be appreciated.

Yes, Darren I successfully claimed 3 mis-sold PPI on barclaycards from that period.
It was one of my best experiences with PPI.
I even wrote Thank You letter to their department, acknowledging their excellent work and transparency and honesty from their complaint department.
I know that some people had problems, however in my personal experience, it was the best and most professional company to resolve PPI complaint.
Of course, you have to have a good grounds for complaint, it is not enough just to have PPI attached to your account on its own.
It has to be shown that it was mis-sold.
If you have a good grounds and reasons to complain, such as not being eligible due to your employment status, pre-existing medical conditions, not being made aware that PPI was optional, having other means to repay, other insurances, savings etc., you have to make it clear in your complaint.

Also I would suggest to get SAR, to be absolutely sure about the information related to that card, the application form, all your communication with the company etc.

Hi I too have beem successful. I opened mine in 1993 and got quite a nice redress amount back. Was def one of the easiest to deal with and the quickest. From start to finish took me just 4 weeks from claim form to money in the bank. Hope this helps
