  • RBS rejected ppi claim on credit card but refunded loan

So I put in a ppi claim for my loan and my credit card with RBS with the same concerns for both, I was unhappy with the insurance as I didn't realise I was covered by work. I have received a refund from my loan but they are rejecting my credit card claim. This doesn't make sense to me. What do I do now? I want to appeal this but I don't know on what grounds. RBS are saying that it was sold on a non-advisory basis and I could have cancelled it when I got the certificate of insurance if I'd have wanted too.

    So confused

    Hi and welcome

Write back and ask them to review.

Did the letter say it was the final decision? and did they mention about the Financial ombudsman service (FOS)?
The final letter should let you know if your eligible to complain to the FOS or not, but I would still write back by giving them about 14 days to review and anything you feel is missed do tell them.
What reason did they give to reject your complaint?
