  • Halifax Bank Xtraloan Insurance Premium

I had a small halifax Bank Xtraloan in the mid 90's over a period of 24 months.

I still have the original agreement, where they have typed in a 'X' in the Premium Protection Insurance box and not ticked by myself. I also have confirmation of monthly payments statement from them.

My questions are, can I still submit a mis-selling complaint considering how old it is and if so what calculator spreadsheet would I use ?

If compound, what end date would I enter - last paid premium date or current ?

    Thank-you

      Hi,

Just to up-date on the situation regarding the miss-sale of PPI on an old XtraLoan.

I collated all information that I had including the original Credit Agreement details and monthly paid premiums statement, and sent a very detailed letter explaining reasons for miss-selling and enclosed the documentation.

I have now today received a response from the Halifax advising that they are now collating information but to help them assess the complaint further, they have sent a questionnaire to be completed and returned within 14 days.

Considering that I had already sent them documentation details and reasoning for ppi complaint, am I obliged to not complete ?

Also as the loan was quite some time ago would I be wasting £10 in respect of a Subject Access Request, as on past experience with other antiquated complaints, information provided has been very little ?

      Thanks
