Black Horse - no account number

hello
i know that I have a valid PPI claim against Black Horse from around 1998 however they have responded to my SAR stating that without an account number they will not investigate my complaint. I have SAR'd Santander to try to find the relevent account number from my old statements but they have only provided details back to 2006.

Is there any avenue left open to me? All help appreciated!

When did you settle the account (year)?

Shame you no got any old statements as that would help.
Who did you bank with then at the time you were paying direct debits, maybe call into the local branch and they may try helping by locating the account number for you, (if it was a loan).
