    Need some advice

hubby had a credit card from 1996 to 2004 with mnba it was done over the Internet think was auld fashion way paper claim

he then entered a iva in November 2004 due to his silly debts was paid of and certificate given 2009 ( November )

he he just put a ppi claim in with mnba there ask for this old terms and contains of old iva and a letter from iva company stated there no legal intreats in the ppi claim again mnba which. Have just got of iva company which we just emailed mnba ppi department

had my hubby got a vaild claim to claim ppi from 1996 to 2004 also he is forces so ppi is useless to him ,

Plus no clawes in the t/c in the old iva to how we read ,( 2004 t/ c when ppi claims was out )
What are the chances winning ppi back the credit card was for 7500

      Hi

      I don't see why not.
Have you made the claim using the FOS complaint form, if so you need to follow the standard procedure.

It is a long process with MBNA in any case(generally) but worth the effort they usually pay out eventually.

Personally I would start again using the FOS template letter, they will just mess you about otherwise.

                Hiya

If you hear nothing almost near the date given, then do send them a letter or email to ask for an update.
Hopefully this will be successful, but if not they will either say they will give you the opportunity to write back with further info or if final they should confirm if your able to complain to the ombudsman or not. (This is standard on the final letter).

However, i think what Andy meant was in regards of the FOS complaints form, as well as their own complaint form when you write to them to complain, they also do the complaint forms to complain directly to the bank/business as well on the fos website (they are usually the same complaint forms the banks send or have on their own website anyway).

But as you have already made that complaint to the bank/business and there is a timescale of up to 11 June, I would wait nearer the timescale before contacting them for an update.

I take it you already received the acknowledgement letter to say they received your complaint, which is why they said by the 11th June by the time they get back? xx

I have never had direct dealings with MBNA on my reclaims, but they do usually send you a letter to show how they calculated the refund...x

                              Hi Stacy22

Well with mine they just provided a breakdown of calculation figure ie. amount of ppi plus interest plus 8% interest Less Tax.

No forms to sign or send back, just said that cheque should be received within 28 days but if I did not agree, I was to contact FOS.

Will be interested to see what you receive.
