Can someone help me please, I have been battling with MBNA on a PPI claim for my Father who is over 70, naturally the ongoing saga is causing him stress so I have decided to join this thread to seek help. MBNA have ignored every written letter sent to them. We even contacted Gladstone Brookes however 18 months later, oour claim hasnt progressed. MBNA requested pension fund information from my Father which we sent months ago however they havent investigated his claim. Do I progress with Gladstone Brookes or try going through the FOS. Every time I ring MBNA they are extremely unhelpful.

Re: MBNA PPI Help needed please
Hi STOPMBNA,
Ironically, I have found MBNA great to deal with, unlike some other companies, however when all is said and done the frustration is the same. I have had to write to Mr Lynes and had correspondence dealt with very quickly. I have also exchanged e mails with Mr Theobald and found him very good as well. While I do not know the exact nature of your Father's problem, I would suggest that writing is more productive than the phone. You then have an audit trail. If you are in a position to do so, you can pay to have the letter tracked with guaranteed delivery the next day. Again you have an audit trail. Hope this helps. Good luck to you and your Father.
