Welcome / fscs gap and brake down cover

I am in middle of claiming ppi back from welcome there investing it at moment , I just been looking at fscs website 2014 update it mention people can claim non ppi insurance from welcome ie brake down cover and gap . I rang them up to confirm this there said yes. People can and sending me forms out I when applied for loan was told I needed gap and brake down cover , total sum of 1000 has any one summited claim and got it back

THat was fairly standard on welcome car finance and was included as standard on all car loans. Bonuses were paid on theamount of breakdown and gap that was sold .

Far I recall I was told I had to take , fscs said today I can claim back. Is this true

This was included on my car loan with them too. I wasn't even told it was going to be on there. I'll ring them for the forms too I think...

Did you ring them can I ask do u need a valid car linance and fully car insurance to take gap as when I got the car loan I didt even hold a car linance or even drove there never ask far iam aware gap is in valid you don't have a driving linance or car insurance
