I have a friend who was turned down PPI by Halifax and appealed to the Ombudsman who ruled in her favour. She has a letter from the ombudsman stating this dated March 2013 and it gives Halifax until 16 April to comply. To date she has heard nothing from Halifax and every time she rings the Ombudsman she is told that Halifax have to pay up but this is 6 months later. Do Halifax have to pay or are they laughing at this ruling?

Re: Ombudsman Ruling Halifax PPI
Hi there
Usually the Adjudicator should intervene as they case is not literally closed until the refund is received.
I would therefore email/ring the adjudicator who dealt with the matter to get on to it, or write to the manager of the FOS if the adjudicator isnt doing anything about it.
Good luck.
