  • Marbles cc - going round in circles

    Hi

Spent most of my afternoon trying to ascertain 'who' to complain to

I had a marbles cc in 2004 which I wd like to know if there was ppi on

I have 16 dig card number and letter from marbles when card was issued

Rang marbles - they deny its them

Rang hfc. - dont recognise the card number

Any ideas where to go from here? Any ideas who issued marbles cards in2004?
    Cheers

Right ok, can you recall if this was an online/postal application?

If online it may have been one of those where they forward you on to Marbles later on after application.

I take it you no paperwork at all apart from the card number as shown on the card?

If you still have the card, then like a debit card, dont they have a sort code as well? Cant remember if they do or not, but a sort code would determine the business, you could click in the sort code online and it may come up who the business were.

Like if we used the same bank for all of our banking, the sort code would be the same if you get my drift (obviously) the remaining numbers on the card are your very own.

You could do a sort code check on google if there is one on your card.
The letter should I believe hold the sort code too.

It was HFC. Read the article below:

      http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/09...email_blunder/

That was the end of September 2004. :beagle:

However, it had about 125 branches T/A Beneficial Finance, and was acquired by HSBC, so that may be your next best port of call.
