This is what Barclay's sent as a result of a CCA request.
Got new statement today, they have already taken the amount off the outstanding balance, dates same as the letter they sent.
I was deemed to have "accepted" the offer even though there were no figures.
Balance now £471.70 and they have still added the interest of £1.70.
Is there anything we can do, worth pursuing do you think?:tinysmile_cry_t:

      Re: Barclays PPI complaints procedure

To me, it looks as though Barclaycard have covered themselves by their explanation, but I am not experienced in CCA's, and I would prefer to see if someone else can give it a look over, DT.

If you think you may be entitled to more, then it's worth a go. The next step would be to get your statements out, and fill in the spreadsheet here. As I said, you don't have to do any maths at all - you just have to copy the dates and figures from the statements into the spreadsheet. The spready does all the thinking:

Ok, looks like a sesson on pc then, had left some personal details showing on one attachement, have removed and will do again later ( thanks Bill).

            Hi dt

Dunno whether it's just me, but all attachments are showing 'invalid'.

            Can someone else verify, please?

                Re: Barclays PPI complaints procedure

Apologies - DT left some personal data in the attachments, so she pulled them down, and hopes to put them back up ASAP when she has redacted them.

DT - You may not have Excel on your PC - it's a component part of the MS 'Office' suite. You MAY have MS 'Works' - which is similar, but this may not open the Excel spready. I will post up a simpler spready for you to fill in, which will hopefully work for you.

                  Re: Barclays PPI complaints procedure

I've created a simpler spready which I hope will now open. If it doesn't then try the next alternative - you may need to give it a few moments to open, so be patient.

If none of them work, then I think you will need to download and install the excellent (and free) OpenOffice suite from here:

                  http://www.openoffice.org/download/

Once you have this, then use the "'ods" spreadsheet.

Open the spreadsheet, and enter the info from your monthly statements a line at a time, and in date order. Don't worry if you don't have all the info needed on each line - just enter what you can. After the first couple of lines, you'll get the hang of it. After 10 lines or so, you could post up what you have as an attachment, and I'll check if you're "Doin' OK..."

                  Then we're in business.

                          Basic PPI+Penalties.ods.xls
I have had a bit of a struggle with it so have only done three, if the download works what is your opinion.
Charges do not start to be added until the end of 2007 and there are some statements missing, charges include late payment charges.
dont know if it worked please let me know.

Well done, DT !!! Looks good to me.
I think we can simplify things a bit, now. If you can enter the actual account balance, and the actual interest charged each month - as you have done so far - then we won't need you to enter the interest rates in the last 2 columns.

So - keep on going with it.

Also - do try and post up the CCA documents again, as I have asked another good member to take a look at them.
