ppi on egg credit card

i took out an egg credit card a few years ago via the internet , i received a phone call form egg saying if i didnt take ppi out i could not have the credit, so i took the ppi out on a £500 credit limit . i have now paid off the egg card but i am finding it difficult to get anywhere with claiming the ppi back as i have no proof i took ppi out ,have gone through barclays bank to be told no further action can be taken i have done this twice .is thier anyone on here that give me some advice on what to do next

How long ago did you complain and receive the final letter?

Did they mention anything about your rights to complain to the FOS (Financial ombudsman service)? Or was you not eligible?

I'm trying to figure ways around this, so if you could let me know that will be cool, cheers.
