  • Halifax PPI

    Hi everyone
The ombudsman ruled in my favour in March this year that the PPI on my halifax credit card had been mis-sold, halifax in turn agreed on April 10th that they had and would rectify this. As of today 30th July I still haven't received my offer or even been quoted a figure that I will be repaid. Has anyone else experienced such a long delay in getting sorted?

    Thanks Paul

    Re: Halifax PPI

Morning to you Ash77, I had a Halifax Credit Card PPI upheld by FOS in March this year. I had to contact FOS 4 weeks later as to why Halifax did not contact them, but they did. FOS was slow to realise that Halifax did want to make me an offer as FOS had a pile of letters which they were slow to update and send out to the customers. What I did was, contacted the CEO of Halifax who were quick to respond and confirm that the offer was made and quickly sent me a cheque through the post about 2 weeks after that. I had my paid out to me in middle of June. You just have to give them a push.

Thanks for the reply and great advice, by any chance do you have the name of the CEO and where I should send my letter to?

davidnicholson@halifax.co.uk is the CEO and his office will promptly ring you and respond to your e-mail since now it was upheld.

Update on my claim, on Saturday I received an offer from Halifax to settle my complaint that was more than what I was expecting. Very happy that it is finally sorted now it's time for my RBS PPI complaint to be resolved
