I have taken out personal loans in the past with Black Horse and I am certain that PPI was a requirement to the loan. After looking high and low I think that my good lady did what she always does with my things and threw them away. Can I still ask Black Horse for repayment of PPI if I do not have the paperwork? or account numbers etc. I would appreciate anyone's help. Thanks in anticipation. P

Do you know how long ago you taken out these loans/settled them?
You could request for the data of both accounts by sending a Subject Access Request (SAR) letter, by enclosing £10 cheque/postal order, they have 40 calendar days to comply. (One SAR is sufficient for all accounts you held with them with just one payment as stated above).
If you wish to send a SAR, please let us know and one of us will be happy to post up the details of the SAR letter template for you to use.
Depending on how long ago they were, check banking statements where you paid the monthly loan repayments for the account numbers, so basically when you SAR them apply all account numbers that apply, or just give them as many details as possible, full name(s) addresses you were living at the time of the loans, any change of surname, give your Date of Birth etc.
Or just request for copies of the Credit Agreements for each loan, enclose £1 postal order or cheque, ask they provide these to you by 12 days.
It does help to have the loan account numbers and if you are sure you had PPI and you have reasons for being mis-sold, you can therefore just continue to make a reclaim.
Hope this helps, let us know thanks.
