Re: Goldfish Credit Card issued in 1998?
Hello Dizzy Di, you and Bill-K are the super stars on this website and I followed you two and a few others for a year now, I cannot remember their names as you all give great encouraging advice. The HFC Bank have not cashed in my cheque yet for the S.A.R yet, but when I phoned them up 2 weeks ago they did found my account and that it was a Goldfish Credit Card and identified it was with them that had issued me the card so that's a big step in the right direction. They did say I can request a SAR with my date of birth etc and ask for details of what I need and want to get to take this matter further, so that was a big help. When I initially conrtacted Wescotts ( they are useless and hopless ) they said the original creditor was Goldfish, are they kidding ( they don't exist anymore ) and the only record they have was a Lloyds TSB. So I pursued Lloyds TSB and put a complaint with the FOS against Lloyds. I think I wasted 9 months chasing the wrong Bank as it was HFC Bank who issued me the card and Lloyd TSB had no record of me as my account went into default before Goldfish Brands were brought by them. I will let you all know the latest update but I feel it will take a while.
