Re: Northern Rock PPI - do I claim or not
Hi there
I'm having trouble downloading the scans you provided, it maybe my computer not sure, as I have been having issues with it today, will try again later.
You have a case if you find you were sold PPI, and any reason that may apply to you, if pressurised to take out PPI, if you had a pre-med condition at the time it was sold to you, if you already had cover in place.
The list is endless, it's just trying to see if PPI was added now, so will try to re-download again shortly.

Re: Northern Rock PPI - do I claim or not
Hi Paddy. I can read your attachments OK., so it looks like it may be Di's computer that's playing up. I think the first scan is the key to this, as this is the loan agreement itself, and it shows that NO PPI was included - as this would have been shown in the 'Insurance Loan' column, which shows zero. The other letters are, I think, just generic 'information' letters, which are created to include ALL eventualities - so an explanation of PPI is included in them, even though it may not have actually been sold or charged to you.
A further check could be made if you have a copy of the original opening statement of account for the loan. If the loan advance is the same as that shown in the agreement you have posted, then this would just about confirm 100% that there was no PPI on this loan.
If anything seems 'untoward,' though - please by all means post it here, and we'll be happy to take a look.
Hope I've helped.

Re: Northern Rock PPI - do I claim or not
That's grand thanks very much, I was unsure because of the other stating that I had asked for it but like you said the fact that it states none on the agreement itself looks like there is none included.
I don't have the original opening statement but I could contact Northern Rock to see if I could get a copy.

If you can get them to send you a copy, then that should confirm this. They may charge you, though.
Alternatively, you could send a Data Subject Access Request to NR, but that will cost you £10, and it should then get you copies of ALL data that NR hold which pertains to you.
