Hi all, just got my s.a.r.form info through post after waiting month and months. It turns out I do have ppi I think I remember cancelling it a few years ago as I noticed a charge for it on my bill. It was a mail order application and looking at all the info I cant find any proof that I wanted this, or requested it. I certainly did not know how to claim on it, so I guess I may have a valid claim. I would like to point out that Barclay card made it very difficult forme saying my account was to old ect ect to get all the information.

the account was opened in 2004, I cancelled the ppi after about 6 months. but looking at my s.a.r info they charged me a card insurance every 3 months till the end for about £29Comment

Every 3 months-thats odd--its usually a % of the outstanding balance monthly--what is the exact wording on the statement charge for £29?

Card Protection is a separate facility whereby you are insured against losing your card (s)--not PPI
THis is a separate issue and not connected with the PPI reclaim

As Turbo says it's protection but not PPI, however it's still reclaimable, this came about from what I know of in March of this year.
So CCP should be writing to customers, as comment says here from another site.....
"CPP will only write to those it sold products to between January 2005 and March 2011. However, if you believe you were mis-sold outside these times, make a claim anyway. A mis-sell is a mis-sell, regardless of when it took place".Comment
