Egg credit card PPI

I have not a clue whether to start a claim on Egg ( now barclaycard)

We took out a credit card quite some time ago - I guess about 2003 ish . I know there was PPI and when we took it out on line I remember them talking to my husband on the phone about the PPI.

Now whether it was mis-sold or not I am not sure - I do now it was in proportion to the debt ( percentage ) and I do not recall that being explained. I think we also had some critical health / employment insurance in place at the time.

Sometime ago I got all the copies of information about the card (SAR) and it has just been stuck in a drawer as I do not even know where to start.

Is it worth me looking at ? And if so what am I looking for ? I guess I have to have a reason for thinking it was mis-sold and do I then write to Barclaycard? The credit card has now been paid off by the way.

Yes of course I think its worth looking at and remember there are lots of reasons that may have stopped you from making an unsucessful claim for sickness/unemployment etc.
Or if there was a pre med condition at the time it was sold.....
And if there was cover in place they should have discussed this whilst going through the application.

Within the SAR is there any info about the telephone call?

tbh due to other things getting in the way I have not even looked -there is an awful lot of paperwork they sent me. I will have a look over the weekend .
