I have just been told by Landrover Finance that they cannot process my claim becuase they have destroyed the original records and have simply referred me to the Financial Ombudsman and/or the Finance & Leasing Association. Is there a code of practice that would compel Landrover to keep records for more than 6 years? Also, are there any template letters to make them think about their suggested route to go straight to the FO or FLA.
I do have all the original paperwork, so I'm just assuming that they're hoping that I've lost it!!
How would you suggest proceeding?
