  • Temporary worker and mbna ppi

    Hi

Trying to claim back ppi on mbna amex and visa on grounds policy wdnt have paid out. I was on a temp contract working 2 days per week when took the card out

Anybody had any success with mbna using temp work as mis sale reason?

I have sent them temp work details with Fos questionnaire

    Wishing you luck.

I've not directly had dealings with MBNA, but many have done and it seems you have good grounds to make a reclaim/complaint, and I assume this should be straight forward, but any probs let us know.

The only thing I can think of is that they may come back and say, even if it did not protect you for unemployment due to working little hours, they may say they had life cover and job solutions (that's if this is included on the policy), but the point here is you were sold something and paying for something that would not fully protect you, but try not to worry this can be dealt with if they did try this on, but hopefully you should not have any problem, please keep us posted, good luck.

Just had a call from mbna

        They want to know

        Details bout pre existing conditions
        Salary
Temp hours and when I started them

Have just composed a letter backed up with contracts etc.

Anybody else been asked for further info?

        Is this ominous?

        Greatful for opinions please

I believe MBNA do this if they require further information, like other banks etc.
However, personally I would say I will forward you the information in writing as a preferred method of your them dealing with your complaint.

I hate being put on the spot! Despite being genuine, did you manage to answer the best to your knowledge?

The reason why I say preferred method of writing is because of keeping copies in black and white, and if needed to complain to the FOS, it would be something I would enclose to them on complaining.

If you couldnt manage to answer to all questions ask, write or email them when you do have the details, and tell them you were not in the position to clarify on the telephone etc.....and ask them to take your written further information into account.

          Good luck.

I said I was in the middle of tea and 2 kids and couldnt come up with info on the spot

Have put it all in writing and in the post this evening

I am assuming they havent rejected this outright but want me to confirm details

I was always under the impression mbna were quick to reject claims

Thanks for your help Di - I appreciate it

Good for you and the best of luck, I think they and all banks have had to change their ways to be honest, so hopefully all will now go in your favour, fingers crossed x
