  • Suspicious of MBNA

    Hello all

Newbie here after some advice pls

I received a letter from mbna virgin cc two weeks ago to say that I MAY have been mis sold ppi

Completed the questionaire and sent it back to an address in Harlow. I am a temp worker.

Never Received acknowledgement letter so rang them today.

Apparently they have reached a decision, letter in post. Chap on phone wouldnt tell me decision.

V suspicious its been dealt with rather quickly - c 2 weeks!

Anyone else had this turn around with them and a +ve response?

    Cheers

I've not heard of that before, I'd be very careful to be honest. Someone with more PPI knowledge will pop along soon enough and be able to help you along.

Wait and see what the letter says.

This is the first time I've seen someone complain that a PPI claim has been resolved too quickly

Is this a live MBNA Virgin credit card?

Did it have PPI on it ?

Some creditors have been told to review and write out to customers with PPI so the fact that they approached you in the first place and not the other way round may not be too ominous.

What's wrong with Harlow BTW

Nowt wrong with Harlow. I like ur humour thou

Just a bit shocked at v quick turnaround and surmising a denial - pessimist that I am!

I still have an open acc with them as well. Ppi is on it

I had been reading about cases where there was an automatic uphold of complaint but dunno if this might be the case?

        Thanks for your help

Letter received today upholding complaint and redress to be provided.

Kind of bizarre as this case has been settled before the other two who have been with MBDA 6 weeks

When you get the "redress to be provided" letter run it by us to make sure you're not being short-changed in the rush to settle your claim
